Terms of Service
Last updated 2 November 2026
The short version
- The mockups you make are yours to use for anything, commercial work included: on the website, on the plugin's free plan, and with Pro.
- The editor on 3dangled.com is free, with no account. The Figma plugin is free to try, with Pro as a subscription.
- Your screens and designs stay yours. They never leave Figma or your browser, and we never see them.
- The plugin and the device renders stay ours. Use them inside your mockups. Don't pull them out to reuse, share or sell on their own.
- Pro is a subscription sold through Figma, with a 7-day free trial. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing; cancel any time after in your Figma settings.
This summary is here to help. The terms below are what apply.
1. Who we are and how these terms fit with Figma's
3Dangled is made and run by Dan Andrei Deaconu, an individual based in Romania (“3Dangled”, “we”, “us”). These terms are an agreement between you and us. They cover the 3Dangled plugin for Figma, the website 3dangled.com and the editor on it, and the device catalog and images both of them download from 3dangled.com (together, “3Dangled”).
You get the plugin from the Figma Community. Figma's Terms of Service and Community Terms govern your use of Figma. When you subscribe to Pro, the Figma Community Paid Resource License also applies between you and us. These terms add to that licence, as Figma allows creators to do. Where these terms give you more rights than the licence, most importantly the right to use your mockups in section 5, these terms apply. Figma, Inc. is not a party to these terms.
By installing or using the plugin, or using the editor on 3dangled.com, you accept these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use 3Dangled. If you use it on behalf of a company or another organisation, you accept them for that organisation and confirm you are allowed to.
2. What 3Dangled does
3Dangled places a screen onto a 3D-rendered device. You can use it in two ways:
- The Figma plugin takes a frame from your Figma file, or an image you choose, and inserts the mockup into your file as an image. The work happens inside the Figma app on your device.
- The editor on 3dangled.com takes a screenshot you choose, paste or drop, and lets you download the mockup as a PNG. The work happens in your browser, on your device.
Both download the device catalog and device images from 3dangled.com, so they need an internet connection. The website's editor doesn't keep your screenshots: closing or refreshing the page clears them, so download the mockups you want to keep.
3. Plans, trial and payment
The website
The editor on 3dangled.com is free to use and needs no account. What it offers may change over time.
The plugin: free
In the plugin, some angles and finishes are free to use, with no subscription and no account. The plugin marks which ones. What is free may change over time. Mockups you have already made keep the licence in section 5.
The plugin: Pro
Pro unlocks every device, angle and finish in the plugin, Clay and custom tints. It is a subscription, billed monthly or yearly at the prices shown on the 3Dangled Community page and in the plugin. Pro is sold only for the plugin; the website has nothing to buy.
Payment
Figma sells Pro on our behalf, as our commercial agent. You pay Figma, not us. Figma takes payment through Stripe, and collects and pays sales tax or VAT where that applies. Figma's checkout shows you the price, any tax and the billing dates before you confirm.
Free trial
Pro starts with a 7-day free trial, once per person. To start it, you enter a payment card and your billing details at Figma's checkout. Nothing is charged during the trial, and if you cancel before it ends you are not charged at all. Before you confirm, Figma's checkout shows the price and when the first payment is taken.
Renewal and cancelling
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time: in Figma, open your avatar menu, then Settings → Community → Community purchases, and manage the subscription from there (Figma's guide). You keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again.
Price changes
A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for. You will be told before a higher price applies to your subscription, and you can cancel before it does.
Refunds
Figma handles refunds under its refund policy. Under that policy, subscription payments are not refunded, and cancelling stops the next renewal. If something went wrong, for example a charge you didn't expect or Pro not working, write to [email protected]. We will help and take it up with Figma. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you also have the rights the law gives you, such as a remedy when digital content doesn't work as described.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law as a consumer.
4. Your content
“Your content” means the frames, screens, images and designs you put on a device. You own your content, and we claim no rights in it. 3Dangled processes it only on your device: inside Figma, or in your browser on 3dangled.com. It is never sent to us (see the Privacy Policy).
You are responsible for your content: that you have the rights to use it, and that what you publish with it is lawful.
If you use 3Dangled for a business and someone brings a claim against us because of your content or your breach of these terms, you will cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it. This does not apply to consumers.
5. Using your mockups
A “mockup” is an image 3Dangled creates by combining your content with our device imagery. That includes the image the plugin inserts into your file, the PNG you download from the website's editor, and any export, crop or edit of them.
- Your content in a mockup stays yours.
- For our device imagery in a mockup, we grant you a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual and irrevocable licence to use, copy, edit, publish and distribute the mockup, for any personal or commercial purpose.
- This applies to mockups made on the website, with the plugin's free angles and with Pro alike. It continues after a trial or subscription ends, and after these terms end. The only exception is a breach of section 7, as explained in section 9.
- Examples of what's allowed: App Store and Google Play screenshots, websites, ads, social posts, pitch decks, case studies, portfolios, print, and work for clients, paid or not. You may hand mockups to a client, and they may use them on the same terms.
- There is no limit on the number of uses, views, prints, copies or channels.
- You may use mockups to sell anything, including a template, UI kit or app of your own. You may not put mockups inside such a product for its buyers to use as design material (see section 7).
- No credit is required, although a mention is always appreciated.
6. What stays ours
We, or our licensors, own 3Dangled and everything in it, and copyright and other laws protect it. That covers the plugin's software, the 3D device models, renders, frames, screen masks, Clay finishes, the catalog, the 3dangled.com website, and the 3Dangled name and logo.
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the plugin in Figma and the editor on 3dangled.com. For the plugin, it covers the free features while the plugin is installed, and Pro features while your trial or subscription is active. Apart from that licence and the licence in section 5, these terms transfer no rights to you.
7. What you may not do
The licence to use your mockups is broad. In return, you agree not to:
- Extract, isolate or reconstruct our device imagery from 3Dangled, 3dangled.com or a mockup, in order to use it without your own content on it.
- Include our device imagery, or mockups, in anything you distribute for others to use as design material, whether sold or given away. That includes blank device frames, mockup templates or kits with replaceable screens, UI kits, website or presentation templates, themes and stock-asset packs.
- Offer our device imagery in an app, website or service where other people make their own mockups or designs.
- Register our device imagery, or a mockup, as a trademark or logo, or present it as your own work.
- Download, scrape, mirror or hotlink the files on 3dangled.com, except through the plugin or the website's editor as they work normally.
- Copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer the plugin, except as far as the law allows despite this restriction.
- Get around Pro, for example by bypassing the payment check, or share one subscription among several people.
- Use our device imagery or catalog to train, fine-tune or evaluate AI or machine-learning models.
- Use 3Dangled to build or offer a product that competes with it.
- Interfere with 3dangled.com: overload it, drive it with scripts or bots, get around its security, or upload anything harmful, such as malicious code.
- Use 3Dangled or your mockups in a way that is unlawful, misleading or infringes anyone else's rights, for example to suggest that a device maker endorses you, to pass your app off as someone else's, or to show features your app doesn't have.
8. Device makers' trademarks
The devices in 3Dangled are 3D renders we created of devices designed by others. Apple, iPhone, iPad, Mac, MacBook and Apple Watch are trademarks of Apple Inc. Samsung and Galaxy are trademarks of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. Google and Pixel are trademarks of Google LLC. Nothing is a trademark of Nothing Technology Limited. Figma is a trademark of Figma, Inc. Other product names are the trademarks of their owners. 3Dangled is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Apple, Samsung, Google, Nothing or any other device maker.
Our licence covers our renders. It cannot give you rights in a device maker's trademarks or product designs. When you use mockups in marketing, follow any guidelines that apply to you. For example, Apple's App Review Guidelines cover App Store screenshots, and its marketing guidelines cover advertising. Google Play's store listing policies cover screenshots on Google Play.
9. Suspension and ending
You can stop using 3Dangled at any time by removing the plugin and no longer using the website. To stop paying, cancel Pro in Figma as described in section 3.
We may suspend or end your access to 3Dangled, or block requests to 3dangled.com, if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why. Mockups you made in line with these terms stay licensed. If you breach section 7, the licence ends for the mockups and device imagery involved in that breach.
If we ever stop offering 3Dangled, we will announce it on 3dangled.com at least 30 days in advance where we reasonably can. Mockups already in your files, or downloaded from the website, keep working, because they are ordinary images.
10. Changes to 3Dangled and to these terms
We add, change and sometimes remove devices, angles, finishes and features. Removing something does not affect mockups already made with it.
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. For a change that materially affects you, we will post a notice on 3dangled.com at least 30 days before it applies. A change never reduces your rights in mockups you have already made. If you don't agree with a change, stop using 3Dangled and cancel Pro before the change applies. Continuing to use it afterwards means you accept the new terms.
11. Warranty
We work to keep 3Dangled reliable and its renders accurate. Even so, it is provided “as is” and “as available”, and the website's editor is provided free. We don't promise that it will always be available or free of errors. We also don't promise that a render exactly matches the real device in every detail. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, such as merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
If you are a consumer, you keep your statutory rights, including any legal guarantee that digital content conforms to its description.
12. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability to you for all claims about 3Dangled is limited to the greater of what you paid for 3Dangled in the 12 months before the claim and 50 US dollars.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited by law. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, and for harm caused intentionally or through gross negligence.
13. Law and disputes
If you have a problem, please write to us first. Most things can be sorted out by email.
These terms are governed by Romanian law, not including its conflict-of-laws rules, and the competent courts of Romania have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in its courts.
14. General
- These terms, together with the Figma licence described in section 1, are the whole agreement between you and us about 3Dangled.
- If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- If we don't enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.
- If you send us ideas or feedback, such as a device request, we may use them freely, without owing you anything.
- 3Dangled links to other websites, such as Figma's and our profiles on Instagram, X and Threads. We don't control them, and their own terms apply when you use them.
- We may transfer these terms to whoever takes over 3Dangled. Your rights under them stay the same. You may not transfer them without our written agreement.
15. Contact
Questions about these terms: [email protected]. If you believe
something in 3Dangled infringes your rights, write to the same address with the details.
